Architecture is when building has a poetic dimension.
My main challenge on a daily basis is to maintain architectural quality. You have to be able to respond very precisely to the client's request while leaving time to remain creative and innovative. This requires me to be very organised and tooptimise my time.
Since graduating, I have carried out surveys of historical and ancient monuments. I used to use a tool that allowed me to measure points in space from a fixed point. But as soon as I heard about the iMapper I immediately knew that it was the right tool for me: innovative technology, simplicity and speed.
I did my measurements like most architects do today: a laser meter and a drawing. Unfortunately, I had to come back to the place of my measurements several times because my first diagnosis was never precise enough.
I've already been able to survey a framework and understand its structural deformations thanks to iMapper. In addition to being fast, iMapper gives me a real diagnosis, especially in older buildings.
Nowadays, there are two ranges of products on the survey market: those that take fairly basic measurements, such as laser meters, or, conversely, outrageously expensive and complex tools that, admittedly, work independently. iMapper is the best of both worlds: simplicity, accuracy, autonomy and affordability.
You press a button and you get your survey. It's great!
