DIMITRI

Presentation

I'm Dimitri Tsvetkov, architect DPLG. I think I was one of the first architects to try iMapper. It was to survey an attic to be converted into a duplex floor in a very old Parisian building.

I'm quite proud of the fact that I'm both a technical architect (I designed a presidential palace in Central Asia) and an artist (feel free to check out my Instagram account, I enjoy it). I deliberately choose ambitious projects, which implieshaving the right equipment to ensure that I can deliver.

I now have 20 years of experience, and 6 years ago I created my own organisation to support my clients, from placing an order to project completion.

Architecture is when building has a poetic dimension.

Your daily challenges?

My main challenge on a daily basis is to maintain architectural quality. You have to be able to respond very precisely to the client's request while leaving time to remain creative and innovative. This requires me to be very organised and tooptimise my time.

Why iMapper?

Since graduating, I have carried out surveys of historical and ancient monuments. I used to use a tool that allowed me to measure points in space from a fixed point. But as soon as I heard about the iMapper I immediately knew that it was the right tool for me: innovative technology, simplicity and speed.

What were the readings like before iMapper?

I did my measurements like most architects do today: a laser meter and a drawing. Unfortunately, I had to come back to the place of my measurements several times because my first diagnosis was never precise enough.

What is it like now?

‍I've already been able to survey a framework and understand its structural deformations thanks to iMapper. In addition to being fast, iMapper gives me a real diagnosis, especially in older buildings.

What would you say to companies to convince them to use the iMapper?

Nowadays, there are two ranges of products on the survey market: those that take fairly basic measurements, such as laser meters, or, conversely, outrageously expensive and complex tools that, admittedly, work independently. iMapper is the best of both worlds: simplicity, accuracy, autonomy and affordability.

You press a button and you get your survey. It's great!
